Can we combine live music and DJ sets?

Absolutely. Live music can cover guest arrival, cocktail hour, dinner or other parts of the event, then transition into DJ and MC services when it’s time to change the energy.

Because everything can be handled through one entertainment setup, the transitions stay simple and coordinated.

What exactly is live looping?

Live looping allows Max to build rhythm, bass, guitar and vocal layers in real time.

Instead of playing along with prerecorded backing tracks, the different parts are created and layered live during the performance—giving a solo performance a much bigger sound while keeping it live.

Can we request songs that aren’t on your song list?

Yes. Start with our full song list and let us know your favorites.

For weddings and special moments, we can also learn songs that aren’t currently in the repertoire. Advance notice is appreciated so there’s enough time to prepare an arrangement that works naturally with our live setup.

LOGISTICS & PRODUCTION

Do we need to provide sound equipment?

Usually, no. MAXED Maui can provide the sound system, microphones and other production equipment needed for the performance or event.

We’ll coordinate the setup with you, your planner or the venue beforehand so everyone knows exactly what’s needed.

Can you provide sound in multiple areas of a venue?

Yes. Depending on the event, separate sound systems can be used for areas such as the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

This allows guests to move from one part of the event to another without waiting for the main sound system to be relocated.

What about outdoor locations without power?

We have portable power options for smaller remote and outdoor setups where traditional power isn’t available.

Larger sound systems may require access to suitable venue power. We’ll confirm those requirements during planning so there are no surprises on event day.

BOOKING

How far in advance should we book?

Earlier is always better, especially for weddings and popular Maui event dates. If your date is coming up soon, reach out anyway—we may still have availability.

Can we choose between solo, duo and full band?

Absolutely. MAXED Maui can be configured as a solo performance, duo or full band depending on the event, venue and atmosphere you’re looking for.

DJ, MC and sound production can also be added as needed.

Do you work with wedding planners and venues?

Yes. We’re happy to coordinate directly with planners, venues and other event professionals regarding timelines, setup, sound requirements and event flow.
